How To Include Kids In A Super Bowl Party

Gone are the days of men sitting around a TV drinking beer and yelling at the football players. Well, those days probably still occur all over the world but it seems more and more families are getting together to watch the big game. Here are 5 ways to include kids in your next super bowl party.

Super Bowl Squares

This is commonly used for betting where attendee buy squares, put into a pot and then given to the winner. Make it kid friendly by removing money and giving a small prize for each quarter. The prizes don’t have to be extravagant; a simple toy from the dollar store should suffice. This way the game can be enjoyed even by the youngest of your crew. We’re using the ones I found at Printable Brackets.

Super Bowl Prop Pool

This is a great game for older kids and even the adults will want to get in on this one. A questionnaire is filled out by each participant BEFORE the start of the game. The questions include things like who wins the coin toss, who is named MVP, who scores first, or any number of other questions. We’re using the ones I found at Printable Brackets.

Utilize Appetizers & Mini Foods

Don’t go for the big meals for kids. Make finger sandwiches, chicken bites, chip and dip, traveling taco, or any number of bite sized foods. This is not only good for little hands but for allowing all of your party guests to try out a little of everything. Don’t forget to have plates and cups in a variety of sizes.

Super Bowl Game Bingo

Another great game for even the littlest of your crew. Plus you can play over and over again throughout the entire game. We’re using the ones I found at She Knows. Another version is available at Studio DIY. If you want to limit the bingo to commercial time only, Play Party Pin has bingo sheets for the commercials.

Rate The Commercials

Studio DIY has instructions and a free printable for making rating signs. The commercials go by fast so you might want to set this up with a couple judges and let the rest of the crew cheer to help the judges with their decision. Trade out the judges when the game comes back on so you’re ready for the next round. You could have someone keep track of scores if you want to pick the groups favorites.

These games sound so fun! Our boys are to young to stay up right now but my husband and I are going to a party tomorrow. I’m should keep this in mind for when my boys are older. 🙂 Pinning.

These are great ideas–and I love your design for this post too with the different colored rectangles. I’m going to have to learn how to do that. We get invited, but don’t go because we want our kids to still get to bed on time with school the next day. As more reach middle school, I’m sure we’ll go them. I’ll pin this!

It sneaks up on me and I follow football all season. Last year, I stumbled upon a couple kid friendly games the day before the game so this year I gathered them to share. Thanks for commenting and sharing!
