Random Ramblings

I’m slowly adapting to life after a spinal fusion. I hate that I cannot do as much as I did before. Cleaning, although I’ve always hated it, is one major area I’ve been working on for months. I’ve had to relearn how to sweep, vacuum, and mop so that I will not hurt myself. I’ve struggled and at points wanted to just say the hell with it and let the house turn into a pig sty. But, of course, that only lasts for a few days before it drives me nuts.

What I really need is help. Help releasing clutter. Help organizing essentials. Help figuring out what time-saving essential cleaning tools are out there. Overall, just help. Tim isn’t much help because he hates cleaning as much as I do. Cleaning just isn’t interesting. It isn’t fun. Of course, I could try to make it fun like by putting on music or only do a few minutes of it. But, it’s still not fun. I really want someone to do it for me and not charge an arm and a leg. I don’t want white glove clean. I just want run of the mill, lived in clean. Sweep, mop, vacuum, clean the bathrooms, dust the ceiling once a year, and figure out how to prevent cat and dog hair from congregating into fur balls in every corner of the house. I don’t really think it’s much to do but it’s the stuff I truly hate doing.

I’ve tried to convince Tim for years that we need a housekeeper but I can never find one that is not arm and leg expensive. Maybe I’ll look on Craigslist.

Angi grew up in southern Arizona but now lives in central New Mexico with her husband, two sons and three dogs. She creates, she responds to Yoast support requests, and she loves to ramble on about anything. When not doing those, she can be found curled up with a good book or watching any one of her favorite TV shows, movies, or an American football game.
