Moving Is Not Easy

We have been packing and sorting off and on for weeks now in preparation for our move to New Mexico. Moving is the most exhausting part of moving in my opinion. Mainly because it forces me to actually sort through and make decision on what’s important to move and what we can sell, donate or trash. I’d love to be able to keep everything but anyone who’s watched Hoarders knows what that can do to a house.

Every weekend this month, we have jam packed. We’re holding a yard sale this weekend and next weekend. We might do a ‘everything goes’ on the third weekend but we’ll see how much is left by then. The last weekend of the month, we have various appointments for shutting off services here as well as Erica’s baby shower to squeeze into our schedule.

We decided to save a few dollars by moving during the week instead of doing it on the weekend. Hubby and I have taken the first week off so we can drive from Arizona to New Mexico, unpack, and settle into our new surroundings. We are moving from a 2000+ sq ft single story home to a 3000+sq ft single story home so even though we’ll have more space, we are trying to condense as much as possible.

Thankfully, we have accomplished some of the bigger stuff. We have signed a lease, ordered and confirmed a 26 ft rental truck, ordered and confirmed movers to pack the truck here and unpack in New Mexico, set install or turn on dates for new services, and have started the packing process.

And we have prepared the boys for the move which we thought would be a hard thing because Little T doesn’t do well with change at all. But he’s all on board and keeps asking when we’re moving.

During this move, please bear with me as I step away every weekend this month and for the first week or so next month.

She creates, she responds to Yoast support requests, and she loves to ramble on about anything. When not doing those, she can be found curled up with a good book or watching any one of her favorite TV shows, movies, or an American football game.
