Five Bands You Should Hear

Its summertime which is a perfect time of year to discover new bands. Here are five bands that you may not have heard of but should give a listen to.

Waterparks

Waterparks is a very energetic band that has a techno/synth side.

Swmrs

Swmrs which has had a a few names of names. Originally they were called The Raining Souls, The Clocks, and for awhile they were Emily’s Army which become Swimmers and now they are still Swimmers but stylizing it as Swmrs. They are still trying to find themselves and a sound that really fits them. The drummer is Joey Armstrong, who is the son of Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. Marina City

Marina City is out of Chicago but they have a youthful sound while still having some complex songs which make them attractive to listeners of all ages.

7 Minutes in Heaven

7 Minutes in Heaven named themselves after a Fall Out Boy song which I bet you can guess was “7 Minutes in Heaven.” They are a very fast paced band and as you can guess have a little bit of a Fall Out Boy sound to them.

Best Kept Secret

Best Kept Secret is next up and I think they are worth a listen I am not sold on them yet. They are all over the place musically and have an emo vibe to them which I am not too found of but they have made some brilliant stuff.
