Simple Rustic Garlic Bread

Fancy ingredients are not needed for this simple rustic garlic bread. All you need is garlic, butter and bread. It’s so simple and taste ridiculously yummy.

I knew the moment I opened the package that this baking mat was going to be my best friend. It’s freezer safe. It’s oven safe. It’s freezer to oven safe. I could ditch all, well most, of the aluminum foil that I previously placed under my baking sheets. And unlike some products, the Baker’s Mat has lived up to my expectations.

We’ve used it many times over the last few weeks and I have yet to find anything that will stick to the mat. Plus it’s so easy to clean that I typically rinse it off immediately and put it in the dish drain to dry. My only problem is finding a place to store it. It always wants to unroll in a drawer so I’ve used a rubber band to keep it from unrolling. It would be nice if it had a built in band of some sort to keep it from unrolling and if it was built in, I wouldn’t lose the darn thing like I do with the current rubber band work around.

As you can see in the photo of our yummy garlic bread, our baking sheet is slightly to big so the Baker’s Mat doesn’t completely cover the bottom. It hasn’t been an issue but I wanted to point it out to those of us who have non-standard size baking sheets.
