Peace And Quiet

I am home alone in one of those rare moments in time where the boys are at Grandma Deb’s for the evening and Tim has taken Papa and Grandma Cindy to run their errands. It doesn’t happen often but when it does, it’s fantastic.

I usually use the time to as me time but today I used the time to do some cleaning. The boys and I have been tackling small areas of the house and making them easier to manage. So far, the boys and I have cleared out two boxes of stuff that they do not use on a daily basis. I will go through the boxes after we’re done and decide if they should be kept, sold, or donated.

Tim has also been working in the office doing the same thing. He has even gone through one of his cord boxes, you know the box every computer geek has filled with random cords because they might need it someday. We have several of those boxes and I’m not forcing him to part with every single cord as I know that might be too much to handle. I just don’t think we need 10 power cords when we only have 4 computers. Well 5, if you count Grandma Deb’s since we work on her computer, too.

We’ve also been going through all the old computer parts that are just taking up space in the house and finding them new homes. In most cases, those homes are not inside our home. We’ve given most of them away on Freecycle. It’s nice to part with stuff we no longer use and help someone else out at the same time.

Time to get back to that cleaning.
