5 Minutes For Mom’s Ultimate Blog Party 2010!

Ultimate Blog Party 2010Note: This will be sticky until the 16th so new readers can find it easily.

I’ve never participated in the Ultimate Blog Party hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom but here’s what it’s all about:

If you are partying with us for the first time… The Ultimate Blog Party has become an exciting tradition in the β€œMomosphere”. It is a bloggy carnival where participating bloggers publish a β€œparty post” introducing themselves and then party hop through the linky lists meeting other bloggers. – 5 Minutes for Mom

I’ve just started blogging more recently so this is likely your first visit to my site. I’m Angi, mom to Little T (6) and Drama King (5), and wife to Tim. I’ve been doing a few blog memes here and there to help get my creative juices flowing but have thrown out a few popular post like my review of Hot Prints, a copy of an article entitled β€œWhy don’t friends with kids have time?”, and a few others. I blog about everything and recently joined a few blogging websites. When I’m not blogging, I am a freelance web and print designer. I, also, occupy a lot of my time doing just about everything with our boys. Tim and I homeschool or more accurately unschool our two boys after having some major issues with the local school district. In my spare time, I love to…Well, I don’t really have a lot of spare time but in the rare moments I hold onto for myself, I love to read. My favorite author by far is R.L. Stine. Yes, I realize he’s primarily a teen horror author but his books are thrilling and short which is perfect for my spare time.

Some other people you may hear about on this blog are Grandma Deb, my mom, Grandma Cindy, Tim’s mom, Tank, our nephew, Rob, my brother, and Erica, my ex-SIL and mother to Tank. You can read the full list of people on our Who’s Who page.

Also, you can find me on Twitter.

I’ve been blog hopping around since I first heard about this blog party and have stumbled across some wonderful blogs. Here’s a few of my favorites so far:

There are so many cool prizes to be won at this year’s Ultimate Blog Party, but my top three picks would be:

  • USC 60 – $200 gift certificate for any Wall Slicks vinyl wall decal of your choice. – The boys would be thrilled to redecorate their shared room and this would definitely make it easier on me.
  • US9 – Chocolate chip cookie dough (minus the eggs) is rolled into a 1/2 dozen balls and then dipped in melted milk chocolate chips – I am a cookie dough lover. Raw cookie dough is the best thing EVER.
  • US71 – A $50 Bear Bucks Card to Build A Bear Workshop – Drama King and I collect stuffed animals so this would make for a great mommy and me day out.

And if my top three picks are already chosen, I’d love any of the following (in order of preference): US43, USC 24, USC 14, USC 43, US108, US65, or any of the Amazon, Target, Restaurant.com, Visa, Macy’s, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, Walmart, or Cinemark gift certificates/cards.

And of course, the GRAND PRIZE at the Ultimate Blog Party 2010 is a Toshiba Satellite L505D-ES5025 which would be a fabulous prize to win. I would probably give it to Grandma Deb as she doesn’t have a laptop and it would make her life a lot easier. She watches Little T and Drama King 5 days a week for a few hours each day to provide some uninterrupted work time for Tim and myself. I get a lot done in those few hours and she loves spending time with her grandsons.

Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to learning about you and your family! Does anyone ask you if your boys are twins just because they are close in age? Some lady told me the other day “almost twins!” how can you be an almost twin? Either your momma carried and delivered you at the same time or she didn’t! There is no ALMOST about it! I’m also very interested in your son’s speech board. When I voulnteered in the preschool class at the elementary school one year I worked with a little boy who used a speech board to communicate. I don’t know if he had the same thing or not, but we didn’t understand anything he was saying. It was very interesting to see him use it with us. Anyways, enough blabbering. I’m going ot go read some more!

When they were younger, I got the twin question all the time. Some people see two children in a stroller close in age and assume they must be twins. Now, the boys are much father apart in size so we hear the comments less often.

The speech device has been amazing. I’m working on a video to post showing him speaking and using his device so others can understand how it all works. I’ve just been waiting for him to get used to using it.

Welcome to the party! Hope you have a great time this week and meet lots of new blogging buddy’s. For having a new blog yours looks really great, way to go!

Sounds like you have a pretty busy life, I have no idea how you even have time to read! I just started a college level course and am wondering now how I’ll even read the required stuff. It’s rough being a mom when it comes to free time. It’s all worth it in the end though. πŸ™‚

Have a great time and come say hi when you get the chance!
