Homeschoolers do back to school a tad different than other families. Sure we need the regular pens, notebook paper, markers, crayons and other school supplies but these four things top the list of many homeschoolers during the back to school season.
Curriculum – Homeschoolers shop for curriculum geared to the individual needs of each child. We love CurrClick for curriculum and ideas. Plus they offer loads of free stuff which is always nice on the pocketbook.
Stickers, magnets, and labels – Especially sticker and magnetic paper so we can print our own creations. We label the things we take on our field trips like the water bottles, back packs, PSPs, and many other items. Our favorite pre-printed labels are Oliver’s Labels because they have the Found-Itâ„¢ System.
Calendars and lists – To do lists, task lists, attendance forms, and everything else to keep track of all the stuff going on in our house. If we don’t have a calendar or list, we will certainly miss it. Most of ours are digital and can be accessed from our smartphones.
Folders, sheet protectors, and dividers – Each back to school season, I stock up on folders, binders, sheet protectors and page dividers but it seems I can never find one when I need one. They are perfect for tracing sheets, portable games, check lists, and a myriad of other things.
Have I missed anything? What else do homeschoolers need?
