Notes
Ingredients can be prepared ahead of time and frozen, separating the ingredients by step. From frozen, it will take longer so you’ll probably want to start it on high and then move to low when it gets close to being ready.
Leftovers can be frozen, as well.
Since this is a slow cooker recipe, it’s kid friendly for making and eating. The adult can do the hard prep stuff and kids can add and stir ingredients in the slow cooker. Also, a great way to teach kids how to cut meat and veggies when they get to an appropriate age. Stew doesn’t require perfectly sized ingredients so perfect for someone who’s learning to use a knife.
