#AtoZChallenge – Pressure Cooker

This month we’ve taken on a challenge – one that involves blogging through the alphabet. Our theme for the challenge is food. We’ve talked about our pressure cooker and now we’ll tell you which one we own.

A-to-Z-April-Challenge-zebra-002 This month we’ve taken on a challenge – one that involves blogging through the alphabet. Did you miss a letter? Catch up now.

A while back we mentioned that we love making refried beans in our pressure cooker. Since then we’ve made chicken for shredding and loads more refried beans.

No watching the pot. No over boil. No mess on the stove.

Pressure cookers use less liquid and require less time to cook than other methods. It takes us less than 30 minutes from raw chicken to perfectly shredded chicken and about an hour from raw beans to refried beans.

Have we shared our tip for shredding chicken or beef? No. Well, I’d better rectify that now. We use our stand mixer with the beater blade to shred chicken straight from the pressure cooker.

Do you own a pressure cooker?
