As we’ve mentioned before, we love shopping at Best Buy and for Mother’s day, they put together a killer list of items for all the moms in your life. They have a list for fitness fanatics, foodies, adventurers, entertainers or on-the-go types. I was thrilled to see that I own a decent amount of the foodie gift ideas so I tapped into the other categories to highlight five gifts under $100 that I would love to own.
5 Gifts I Already Own And You Should, Too!
- Waffle Maker: We have a flip waffle maker that we picked up a few years ago during Black Friday. It make perfect waffles every single time and it’s a ton of fun flipping the maker to get pretty darn fluffy waffles.
- Stand Mixer: From making pizza dough to shredding chicken, we use our stand mixer all the time. There are so many attachments to make the stand mixer even more helpful in the kitchen.
- Slow Cooker: A great slow cooker can be a life saver. We use ours to make pot roast, steak stroganoff and a lot of other dishes.
- Food Processor: Shredding cheese or making salsa is super simple with a food processor. Even the boys love helping when it comes to the food processor.
- Stick Blender: This is a recent addition to our kitchen appliances but it’s come in handy to blend small amounts of things. It makes guacamole in a snap when the avocados aren’t smash-able ripe.
5 Gifts I’d Love To Own And They’re Under $100
- Griddle: We’ve talked about getting a smaller griddle to replace our recently deceased large flat griddle.
- Yogurt Maker: We go through a lot of yogurt and recently the boys have fallen in love with Greek yogurt. It would be less expensive if I could make it at home. I’d need the time and counter space so this might be a dream item for now.
- External Battery: We have a lot of devices from cell phones to tablets so it would be nice to have a portable extra battery supply in those moments we realize we’re out of battery and we have to sit in the car waiting for it to charge.
- Bluetooth speaker: We already have one bluetooth speaker in the office but it would be nice to have one in the kitchen so I can get rid of the bulky wired speakers we have now.
- Ninja Blender: We have a blender but I’ve heard so many good things about the Ninja blender. I was surprised to see one under the $100 mark since people are raving about them.
Did I forget to mention that Best Buy has a low-price guarantee? Well they do so if you find it cheaper somewhere else, they will match it! They also offer free shipping with qualified purchases. Not a foodie? That’s OK because you can check out other amazing Mother’s Day gift ideas at Best Buy today.

I have the same 5 appliances you have – only I have 2 stick blenders because my darling husband started using it to mix the chemicals for the swimming pool. LOL. I thought it best to use a separate one for food after I caught him with it! (He’s a Tim the Toolman type. He also thought it was a good idea to put a pool puck in the toilet tank to keep it clean. That was until the fumes burnt my bottom! Urine & bleach don’t mix well. Needless to say he’ll never do that again.)
I just ordered a new appliance that I’m excited to receive – an electric hot dog roller! My favorite hot dogs are the ones at the theater that they cook on the roller. This one has that reto-carnival look with a red and white awning. How could one say no to that?!
Probably a good idea to have a food and non-food stick blender. Sorry to laugh but the story about the toilet is hilarious and he learned a valuable lesson in the process.
Retro-carnival seems to be popping up everywhere. Best Buy has a small popcorn maker like you see in theaters in the retro-carnival red and white. I thought it would be awesome to pop our own popcorn in a cool looking device instead of a boring looking air popper or the microwave.
Did you know you can make yogurt in your crockpot? We did it a couple of weeks ago;) I can send you the recipe you used if you need it…just let me know!
I’ve heard you can but haven’t know anyone who’s done it. I’d love the recipe! Email it to me here.
I have heard lots of great stuff about the Ninja. I have a Vitamix and have heard that they are pretty comparable but the Ninja had a better price.
I’m not sure I would use a waffle maker much at home, but I love at hotels when the breakfast has the waffle maker you can use!
We first experienced the flip waffle maker at a hotel and I thought the same as you. When I saw it during Black Friday for under $10, I thought why not give it a try and worst case, we could donate to someone else. It takes up little space in the cupboard and we make waffles regularly because they are so easy to make now.
